Stud service is offered to approved females. General criteria for approval are based on: compatibility and good cross-faulting with the male, pedigree study, results of tests for hereditary disorders, the general condition and temperament of the female, methods for placing puppies, as well as inquiry about the goals of the female's kennel. We reserve the right to decline service to any female.
This may seem strict, but it is wiser for us to research in advance and turn some away rather then to produce puppies that are only mediocre, or discover puppies from our stud in petshops. In general, we believe breeders who share these standards will not be put off by this process, and that helps screen out puppy mills and backyard breeders.
